Welcome to the website of the Wanganui Returned & Services' Association Inc.
The aim of this website is to keep our members and guests informed of our latest events and news. We plan to use our website as much as possible to assist in the day to day organisation of our Association. If you wish to receive news via email be sure to sign up to our Mailing List.
The RSA is interpreted differently by most people however very few New Zealanders have not either visited as a guest or dined with family, relatives and friends at an RSA sometime in their life.
The Royal New Zealand Returned and Services' Association is one of the oldest Ex Service Organisations in the world. Under the auspices of "The Soldiers Club;" its primary function was to offer a safe and understanding haven for those soldiers returning from the First World War. As the winds of war fade into distant memory the bond of fellowship remains as strong today as it was yesteryear.
WHAT DO WE HAVE TO OFFER ?
The Wanganui RSA is an establishment which respects tradition and its rich past whilst looking towards the future by providing state of the art facilities and best possible atmosphere within their power. As part of our ongoing commitment as service providers the Wanganui RSA is one of a minuscule number of RSAs' with a site on the Internet.
With a relaxing friendly environment, the calm is belied by a core group of hard at work professionals ensuring members, their guests and visitors get the most out of their Association.
The club has a variety of activities and facilities to offer you as a member. It has a friendly atmosphere, a quality Restaurant, excellent bar facilities with a large selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages and best of all, great staff who welcome patrons and visitors with a smile and go that one step further to make sure everyone is happy.
Live entertainment every Friday and Saturday, Sky TVs, Gaming Room with eighteen up to date machines (jackpot linked), Raffles, members Jackpot Draws and Sporting facilities that include 8 Ball, Snooker, Bowls, Darts, Golf, Euchre and Travel. We are also in the process of starting up a Cricket adjunct.
